For quickies you
need to put the seeding on random. For all other tourneys you can use anything but
rating. THERE IS NO EXPANDING QUICKIES. IF THEY ARE MADE AS QUICKIES THEY STAY AS QUICKIES.
If they are made as REG they stay at REG.
Rules for Making/Hosting
When pre-making you may use the 15/45min slots ONLY if you are hosting on the hour and 1/2hr spots. When pre-making, REMEMBER that we prefer having 2 tourneys on the same spot, and we need to try and have a doubles on every hour.
You MUST start hosting with a normal tourney; you CAN have a quickie pre-made as one of your first tourneys. You MUST end your hosting with a normal tourney.
**all tourneys must be closed or moved at 15 min to the next td’s time. Example: Your last tourney is made at 12:30 you MUST MOVE all tourneys that have not closed at 12:45 pm.
To be the hosting TD and to keep others from helping you during your time you must have 2 tourneys on the hour and 2 on the half hour. That makes you the hosting td.
If you are the hosting TD, meaning you have 2 tourneys up on each 30 and hour slots, it is up to you who makes the quickies and requests. If you would like help always ask or if someone offers to help you please use your discretion on what you are able to run and host at the same time. Always try and work with others to make sure requests are made and people are happy.
It is NOT ok to just go in and put tourneys up if someone has both spots covered. You must ask the hosting td if it is ok or if they would like some help.
If you are running/hosting but do not have 2 tourneys up on each spot the open spots are open for any other td to make. It is always polite to communicate with the td currently running.
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE 2 TOUNEYS ON THE HOUR AND 2 TOURNEYS ON THE HALF HOUR. THAT WAS PUT IN PLACE WAY BACK TO THE OTHER ADMINS BECAUSE TDS COMPLAINED THAT PEOPLE WOULD COME IN AND JUST MAKE A QUICKIE AND SUCH IN THE TIME THAT THEY WERE RUNNING.
Rules For Moving/Cancelling Tourneys
If you can't start a tourney, we move them to 2010. We do not delete tourneys! If you need to move your tourneys, and it is 3 hours or less before start time, please DO NOT move them but get a hold of a HTD and inform them you cannot run it. (HTDS will move them or run them for you. (HTDS if you move them you need to make sure you remove all the registered players first then move them.
Hosting While Playing
A staff member may only play in 1 game when hosting.
When you are hosting, the members in your tourney should be priority, not the game you're playing. When playing you are a member and have the same slow play rules. You cannot just say sorry running that is not an excuse. You do have 3 BRBs same as players so if you need it use it to call pairings or to make posts. It is up to you to make sure you are not abusing slow play and if you cannot keep up and run DON”T!! When playing in a tourney you are playing as a member and shoud refrain from making calls.
SLOW PLAY Players will get 2 warnings only for slow play. After that it is a DQ. The Td will go to all the tables the player is on and watch each table. If you cant hold all the tables then get another td to help you.
Calendar Rules
Do not run a same Doubles within 3 hours of each other and when making a single tourney be aware of what is before you and after you so we dont have the same games played to close to each to each other.
Members Rules
No one is allowed to play in more then 3 tourneys at one time. If they are in more then 3 tourneys they are then DQ’d from the last tourney they registered for. However if they are in last hand of one of the tourneys they are playing they MAY register for another .As a td make sure you check to see if they are at more then 3 tables in the lobby. If they are you need to talk to the td of the last tourney as they cannot play in more then 3 games and must be DQ in one game.
Working as a Team
It is ok and encouraged for you to ask for help if needed in running your tourneys. Sometimes issues or problems cause us to focus on something and making it impossible to keep up with running all of our tourneys. Ask a HTD for help If one is not available then ask another td for help.
Also if you cannot watch all your doubles tables again ask another HTD or td for help watching your tables.
If you have any issues on a table example fighting, rules, slow play etc. please always get a HTD at your table. If there is not a HTD available ask another td for help. Rule of thumb is to always get a backup if needed you do not have to tolerate bad language or arguing alone. All should be screen printed and sent to Debbie or Slick so appropriate action can be taken.
Game Lengths: All games are 40 minutes. If you see a table close to the 40 min then go to table and give them a last hand warning or 5 min warning.
Calling Pairings in Lobby
After you post the pairs always place a timer after. People have 3 minutes from the time posted to make the table and invite. If they do not make within the 3 minutes the opponent can make the table and invite. The person who makes the table has the option of what seat they would like to sit in. Example of posting pairings: RD 1 NO3OAK NT: RED INV BLUE GREEN INV GOLD :50 GL
**make sure your pairings are as short as possible as more then 3 lines of spam may get you booted and barred from the yahoo games room. Everyone has their own style of running so please use yours.
Timers
If a person is MIA in a singles match they have 10 minutes timer. Timer is put on the table also posted in lobby. Example: BLUE :50 TIMER. If they get booted while playing in a singles match they get 10 mins total or 3 boots after that they are DQ’d.
If both players in a match are MIA when you announce pairings, you place the first player on a 10 minute timer from pairings time. If the player is not back within the 10 minutes; then you advance the 2nd player to next round. The next round is played as normal. If they are still MIA you have the opponent make the table and place another timer from pairs on the table and in lobby.
During a game if a player goes MIA td is to look at score if the score is over 3800 the game can be played out for yahoo points. ( watch for people leaving when they are losing)
BRBS
Only 3 BRBs during a game are allowed, and no BRBs should take more than 3minutes, if you are invited to table check idle time if over 3mins start MIA from the end of the 3mins. If they take more then 3 mins that also comes off their future BRBs to not hold up the game. Example: someone is gone BRB for 5 mins that’s actually almost 2 BRBs therefore they only have 1 BRBs left. If they have no ping then the timer is placed if they are in a doubles game ask the players to boot as soon as they can so to not hold up the game.
DOUBLES MIAs
If the member is MIA at the pairs of the game then a timer is placed in lobby and table. Member has a 5 minute timer and after this time a SUB is requested in the lobby. If the player returns and the sub has started the game the SUB finishes the entire game of that round. The MIA player can watch the game quietly with NO Kibbies allowed. If they win that game the original player can then finish the tourney.
If the member goes MIA after the game has started, there is no timer and a SUB is asked for in the lobby immediately. If the player returns before the game is over, the SUB is thanked for subbing and booted after that hand they are playing is finished.
**if both players on one team are booted then game is cancelled and win is giving to the other team. YOU CAN NEVER HAVE 2 SUBS PLAYING AT A TABLE. ONE SUB ONLY with an original player.
Restarts on DQ’s or wrong table settings
There is NO restarts unless:
1. Table is made wrong and it is still in the first hand and no score is on the board. The players can cancel the game and make the correct table and start over. If both teams agree. Ask the players.
2.iF It is a DQ in the first hand and all parties agree to a restart ** the opponents must both agree it is ok to restart the game. So may not be an automantic DQ.
DQ’s in a game:
If it is past the first hand then it is up to the players opponent/s if they wish to continue playing the game. *both people must agree to ignore the DQ and continue the game. If the DQ is ignored the game continues as if the DQ never happened.
If the game is at 3800 or over the game the player may decide to continue so the winners get the yahoo points. Td can play it out.

PLEASE SEPARATE YOUR STAFF FROM YOUR MEMBERS ON YOUR MESSENGER. IF YOU ARE THE HOSTING TD AND YOU NOTICE THERE IS NO TOURNEYS AFTER YOURS PLEASE SPAM THE STAFF ONLY ON YOUR MESSENGER FOR THE NEED FOR UPCOMING TOURNEYS.
Games Tables
All NEW games must make a NEW table. You cannot use the same table you just finished playing on you must make a new table for the next round or next game.
APPRECIATION TOURNEYS
APRECIATION TOURNEYS WILL BE AWARD FOR 100,200,300,400,500 TOURNEYS. AFTER 500 IT THEN GOES T0 EVERY 500 TOURNEYS. (1000,1500,2000,2500 ETC ) THESE TOURNEYS GET 1000 BUX TDD AND NO MORE.
*****ADVANCEMENT*****.....YOU MUST complete 200 tourneys before you are considered for HTD...
****REQUIREMENTS****....All tds are to run 15 tourneys a week....all HTDs are to run 15 tourneys a week....All Admin are to run 15 tourneys a week....You can not let more then 7 days go between tourneys....if you do on your 8th day you can be removed without question....exceptions to this would be vacations...and illness....your required tourneys do not have to be reg tourneys alone....they can also be quickies...
*****Lobby: Please remember we are an international league and plenty of different types of personalities and humors. Never take things said to heart and never let something fester always speak to an admin about any issues you have in the lobby or with members. If you have any issues with another td the TD manager is elmo_hates_cookiemonster.
We like our lobby to remain a peaceful place for people to come in feel welcome and have fun with friends. If trouble starts in the lobby people are asked to bring the issue to a table and handled NOT handled in the lobby. People do not like drama and will leave so this must remain under control at all times. If someone starts in the lobby please remind them nicely to make a table and invite the td/htd or admin to it to handle it. If they continue remind them again nicely to please stop. If they persist simply say ENOUGH and if they still continue get a htd or admin or deal with as best you can to stop the drama asap. Anytime this happens please get any screen shots you can get as, email them to an admin and the person will be dealt with. Always remember everyone deserves respect and you can only control your actions not the actions of others. So do the best you can to handle the situation and always come to an admin to take care of the issue.******
